Dessert

Imagine a delicious chocolate fondue; it takes over your senses. You smell the dark chocolate, you taste the sweetness, the warm glow and the flickering sound of the flame calm you: it is a complete sensory experience.

Imagine that this fondue is the semiosphere, and we are all of the various morsels being dipped. The semiosphere is the same for all of us on that plate, but we are all different. The chocolate (a.k.a. the realm of semiotic interaction) will effect each of us differently...
The marshmallows may melt a little bit, the cookies may crumble; the sponge cake will absorb the chocolate while the fruit enhances it; the saltiness of the pretzel contrasts with the sweetness of the fondue.
Yum!
